When Pete Forde of Unspace asked me if I wanted to be a part of the RubyFringe conference he and his company are putting on, I jumped at the chance. RubyFringe is a single-track conference without any of the BS (including no sponsors and plenty of food and drink included).
It’s what punk rock would be if instead of rockers, they were programmers and instead of bitching about any show that costs more than $10, they could afford $700 conferences. (You can read more about the thinking behind RubyFringe at Unspace’s blog.)
Just take a look at the speaker list and be amazed. I’m humbled to be in that company (and I’m proud to say that RUM has three people represented: myself, Dan Grigsby, and Nick Sieger).
RubyFringe is happening in Toronto July 18-20 and attendance is capped at 150. Registration opens today.

I just found out Nick was going myself. Looks like a great slate of talks from you three. Pretty impressive to have that many talks from our crew.
I feel like I’ll be missing a big event if I don’t go. Hmmm.
